Black & White Rhino Business!

We're quite busy at the studio right now because we have a deadline in a couple of weeks. So it was a bad time to get ill but I'm fit again and back into business. Earlier this week I finished the model sheets for a rhino and it already looks quite nice in CG. And it will absolutely not look like the one above. I'm really sorry that I can't show any of the actual designs. So here is a fun drawing instead.

As you might know there are black rhinos and white rhinos, well I would call this one a black and white rhino. Oh, and he is the editor of the "Daily Jungle News".

Miscellaneous Stuff!

These are some pictures I recently did for the Bilderwumme.

An extremely happy walking guy. Done straight with the Art Pen.

An old man in blue.

A couple of ape scibbles I did for a project last year.

French Dressing!

I was in the mood for doing something french. Maybe I'll add some updates later on, but first I need some fresh croissants ...

UPDATED: OK, I had my croissants. And they were tres délicieux.

Here is a close-up. This time with a blue background for Monsieur Mantel, who didn't seem to like the "La vie en rose"-style.

These are the scribbles. I made a quick marker sketch for the guy and quickly inked it with my Art Pen. Tried to make it a little bit rougher.

She looks rather angry ...

Another scribble. A rather angry looking girl. Done with my beloved Pentel pocket brush pen.

Fuzzler!

And a second Art Pen scribble: a filthy scoundrel who should wash his hair more ofen.

Robert de Bouillon!

On the weekend I did some more sketches with the Rotring Art Pen. Because it doesn't work on a blue pencil drawing I did the rough sketches with a light marker this time. Somehow I'm slowly geting used to the pen. It's nice for doing hatching, but you've got to draw a little bit bigger.

The is some guy from the 17th century. Maybe he would fit in some kind of musketeer story. But don't spit in his soup, he won't like it ...

Rotring Pen Sribbles!

I recently bought a rotring art pen. But I'm not quite sure if I like it. It doesn't work on a blue pencil drawing and also not on every paper. So I did this one straight in ink. Actually it looks a little bit uli-meyerish who is a master with this pen. Anyway I gave it a try.

This second one happend by accident while polishing up the drawing in photoshop. Somehow I liked it - and here it is.

And finally another polished up quick straight-in-ink sketch.
