Dragon!

Our last Bilderwumme Drawing Night's theme was Knights & Dragons. At first I though it was a marvellous idea - far from it! I had not drawn a dragon in ages and I pretty struggled with it. So I've ben practising a little bit since. This is one of the better efforts.

Cyclops Pt.1: The Sketch

Is it already a month since my last post?! Oh boy, time flies. Okay, here is something more sophisticated: a cyclops. And since it's Greek mythology it's almost bound to be art.

Of course it's before that damn Ulysses thing happended. Everything was topnotch. You know, hanging around with your goats and sheep, pulling out some trees every once in a while and having a good time being grumpy and unkind. And then that bloke Ulysses comes around the corner to gouge your eye out just because you told that nasty creep to bug off! Dreadful.

This is another sketch I did at our first Bilderwumme Drawing Night. He's even later for Helloween than last weeks jolly hunchback, but he's still having a hell of a party anyway. I hope he's not going to have a terrible headache when it's all over ...

This is the colour palette I worked with ... okay, I confess, it's a fake! I don't do colour palettes, but I start with a colour layout as you can see in the first flat coloured version below. Florian used that kind of colour palettes in his latest posts. And they look so neat! So I though I do one myself ...

Frank and the Hunchback!

Last week we had our first official Bilderwumme Drawing Night (okay, we still need an approprate and catchy name for the event!). We wanted to do that for quite some time and thanks to our guest Matthias Vogel we finally managed to make it happen. And it was fun! The theme was of course - as you may have already guessed - Halloween.

These two sketches were done on that particular night. I almost finished the coloured version of the jolly hunchback yesterday. Well, almost. I will post it as soon as I find the time to add the finishing touches.
